Teach BLS is honored to provide free CPR, First Aid, AED, and Stop the Bleed training through a community microgrant funded by the Black Child Legacy Campaign and administered locally through the Mutual Assistance Network in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood.
This partnership allows us to remove financial barriers and expand access to lifesaving education for families in Sacramento.

The Black Child Legacy Campaign is a community-driven initiative working to reduce the disproportionately high rate of preventable deaths among Black children in Sacramento County.
Through neighborhood-based partnerships and resident engagement, the Campaign addresses the root causes that impact child safety and well-being. By strengthening protective factors, building local leadership, and supporting families with culturally responsive resources, the Campaign works toward equity in child health and survival outcomes.

In the Arden-Arcade neighborhood, the Black Child Legacy Campaign operates through the Mutual Assistance Network, which serves as the Community Incubator Lead (CIL) for the area.
Mutual Assistance Network advances social and economic opportunity so families can thrive. Their resident-centered approach supports community stability, family engagement, and long-term neighborhood strength.
Through this collaboration, resources are directed where they are most needed, ensuring that prevention efforts are community-informed and community-led.

Emergencies happen without warning. Access to lifesaving skills should not depend on income or access to traditional training programs.
Through this microgrant, TeachBLS is able to provide:
This training equips community members to respond confidently during medical emergencies, contributing to safer homes, stronger families, and more resilient neighborhoods.

Teach BLS is committed to ensuring that lifesaving education reaches the families and neighborhoods that need it most. Through the support of the Black Child Legacy Campaign and the Mutual Assistance Network in Arden-Arcade, we are able to provide this training at no cost to participants while maintaining high standards of instruction and engagement.
